There’s just a couple more weeks left in the current season and with the announcements over the last few days we know the fates of most of the bubble shows. Chuck, Human Target, and V got the thumbs up for another season. Heroes and FlashForward got thrown to the lions. Ghost Whisperer and Medium are still waiting for word on their fates and with their slip in performance this past week once again (both shows pulling only a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic), their prospects seem to be fading.
The CW’s three genre shows all wrapped up their seasons this past week and pulled decent numbers, for that network at least. Vampire Diaries scored a 1.7 rating in the 18-49 demo, Supernatural scared up a 1.3 rating, and Smallville flew out with a 1.0 rating. All three of those shows will be back next season.
V improved its ratings from the past few weeks which may have helped win that show its unlikely renewal announcement. It pulled a 2.4 rating in the 18-49 demo, giving it an upward trend as it prepares to close out its season. FlashForward, on the other hand, stayed flat and unsurprisingly received its walking papers this last week.
Here is the full breakdown of the numbers for all of the Science Fiction and Fantasy shows that aired on the broadcast networks this past week:
