Our look at the big ticket movies that did not quite live up to the promise we might have held out for them.  They may have had a large budget, but that lead the movies into the realms of excess and ultimately undermined the aesthetic and/or artistic value of the film.  Some of these films aren’t that bad, but we still recognize that they fell short of what they hoped to accomplish.  Others slipped much further down the scale in quality and have a hard time even claiming themselves as guilty pleasures.  We will be adding to the list on a regular basis and we have also covered the other end of the spectrum with our Anti-Blockbusters column that looks at the films that bucked the Hollywood Blockbuster trend and still managed to deliver a superior viewing experience.
